Hero of the Soviet Union, sergeant of the Red Army. During the occupation of the Smolensk region by Wehrmacht troops, he joined a partisan detachment. In the army since December 1944. Scout of the 756th Infantry Regiment of the 150th Infantry Division of the 3rd Shock Army of the 1st Belorussian Front. According to the official Soviet version, together with Lieutenant A.P. Berestomi, Junior Sergeant Meliton Kantaria, he hoisted the Banner of Victory on the roof of the Reichstag during the Battle of Berlin. Continue reading
Borovykh Andrey Egorovich
Andrei Borovykh was born in Kursk on October 30, 1921 under the sign of Scorpio, who guarded his fate, as well as the fate of the relative majority of aces born under this constellation. He graduated from 7 classes, worked as a driver, after which a strong and intelligent young man was admitted to the Chuguev Military Pilot School, renamed in March 1941 into the Chuguev Military Aviation School, from which he graduated in the same year.

Golovachev, Pavel Yakovlevich
Born in the village of Koshelyovo, Buda-Koshelev Volost, Mogilev Province, now Buda-Koshelev District, Gomel Region, into a peasant family. Belarusian. Member of the CPSU since 1943.
After graduating in 1935 in the city of Gomel, the school of factory apprenticeship, he worked as a turner and miller at a timber processing plant. He was a forward of the factory football team. At the same time he studied at the Gomel flying club. In 1938, on a Komsomol ticket, he was sent to the 8th Odessa Military Aviation Pilot School named after P. D. Osipenko, from which he graduated at the end of 1940. Continue reading
